Wired Glass

Wired glass is made by embedding a wire mesh inside the glass during which remains in the final product. Wired glass is generally used as an economical fire resistant glass. The wire mesh inside the glass keeps the bits of glass inside the frame in the case there is a fire. However, a wired glass has strength equal to a normal glass and can easily break under pressure. Wired glass is usually used in schools and public institutions especially around the areas where there is an emergency fire escape.
